Q. Where and when does PRx meet on the weekday practices?
A. We meet at the track across from the tennis center at mile 0 in Memorial park (map) and start our workout at 5:00 AM sharp on Tues/Thurs. We will aim to be done by 6:20-6:30 so people can leave for work.
Q. Do I need to have finished a marathon to join PRx?
A. Yes, we strongly recommend having finished at least one marathon under 4:30, or be able to sustain 10 minute miles for long runs in order to get the most benefit out of the program.
Q. What gear do I need?
A. You will need a pair of dumbbell weights (8-10 lbs.) and a large (beach- sized) towel and water-resistant exercise mat or similar. We also recommend a head light that can be clipped on a visor or hat. Please have some type of refillable hydration device like a Fuel Belt, Camel Back, or Hand-held bottle & at least 20 oz. of your own drink to start the workout!
Q. Is PRx only for people who want to qualify for the Boston marathon?
A. No, PRx is for anyone who wants to improve their running performance, and who is willing to put significant time and effort into a running program.
Q. What if I have more questions about PRx
